The UK airline is introducing free high-speed onboard internet through satellite partnership

Passengers aboard British Airways can soon access high-speed internet onboard at no cost due to a recent deal with the billionaire's space provider.

Free plus Fast Internet Available to Everyone

The carrier revealed that the no-cost, “quick and reliable” connectivity service via Starlink becomes offered for travelers flying economy, business, or first class from next month.

Expanded Deployment Throughout Multiple Flight Operators

The umbrella company for the airline, the airline group, announced it had secured an partnership with Starlink to provide wifi coverage for over 500 aircraft across their operators, such as the Irish airline, Iberia, and Vueling.

Uninterrupted Internet starting at Gate to Arrival

The airline explained that the rollout of this system was included in a seven billion pound “modernization” program and would offer smooth connectivity coverage for travelers from boarding through arrival, including when they are flying over seas and isolated areas.

Travelers may link numerous gadgets while do not need a separate login.

“Gamechanging for British Airways as well as passengers, enhancing onboard service in the air on BA by offering passengers seamless internet throughout the flight.”

Current Internet Services

Restricted connectivity service is currently available to BA flyers on the majority of the airline's jets through their .air system.

Participants of BA’s loyalty club can send messages and text-only correspondence onboard free of charge, whereas travelers wishing to stream music, video, or movies throughout their flight if not flying in business or first can expect to be charged between four pounds ninety-nine and twenty-one pounds ninety-nine for a connectivity package.
